Well, I got my belly button pierced at 17, and my parents didn’t mind because i was paying for it, so they were kind of like whatever. 😐
Around where I live their are only two peircing places “Marks Tattooing” and “Customs”. For like a week I’d tried both places but the piercers kept doing vacations and stufff, so i was starting to get annoyed. Then one day my parents and I just went randomly and the piercer happened to be there. ( We went to Customs by the way).
The guy who did my belly button was rather…unique…but not in a bad way. He was all around very nice and really welcoming. He asked me questions about myself and if it was my first and soo on. He looked at the size of my belly button and realized it was pretty small, so he suggested that i get a small ring in there, and if it doesnt work for me i could come back.
Then he had me stand straight up to mark the exact spot. Then he asked me if I liked it where he marked it. I told him that I did, and I began looking around as pulled the needle from a sealed bag and the cleaning solution. I noticed a picture behind me of a man hanging by a remarkable amount of peircings from a stone archway it almost seemed.
He looked really high up and I was really fasinated about the poster so I asked who it was. 😛 He looked at me and smiled and said, ” That’s me”. I was in shock and I asked what made him do that and why doesn’t he have that many peircings now. 😯
He replied, ” Well, i did that for 5 hours and I did it because it was a spiritual thing, I don’t have all them piercings now because at the time I wanted so many, but now i don’t”.
Me being surprised as ever only because this man was a little heavy-set, and the guy in picture was averaqe I would have never guessed. I told him that I thought that, that was absolutely amazing and i’ve had so much respect for him since.
After me galavanting about the poster he clamped the marked piece of skin and slowly helped me sit on a chair and lean all the way back.
He put gloves on and pushed the needle through and slipped the ring right in. Simple as that. To be honest the pain was like something I would go through over and over again, it sounds silly, but my body takes to peircing rather well. Plus, I love the feeling! 🙄
After having it done he asked me how i was feeling and i said i was fine. He told me I was all done, and man was i pyshed. I walked out and flung my shirt up to show my mom and dad. My mom looked at the man and asked if he used ice or something to numb it. The guy looked at her and laughed and said “No, we don’t use any of that stuff, that would just take the meaning out of the piercing”.
After that I told him that I was coming back to get my monroe done and he said every Thursday they have piercing parties and that i was more then welcome to come. Which sounds pretty chill and i’ll have to do that sometime. All around though i loved their customer service and the guy was really down to earth and very kind.
I’d definately do it over again if i could. 🙂
