my epic cerations_fbu

i am 16 years old and my parents told me i have to wait till i was 18 to get my belly pierced. they told me over and over again until i got to my breaking point and i did.

i was chicken at first bc i didn’t want it to hurt and i normally do piercings when im pissed off (mainly my ears and sisters and there bf’s ears) so i some what set my bf up for a fight which ended up with us breaking up and i got soo mad that i pierced it all the way thru the top and bottom part of my bellybutton.

i didnt noticed at firsted bc i was looking for my belly ring and when i looked down i saw the blood running down the bottom part of my navel i kinda freaked out in a panic attack and ended up blacking out.

when i woke up i saw it and i was thinking to my self huh thats cute too but i didnt have a double navel ring so the bottom closed up but i still got my top piercing done and still hiding it and wondering how long can i go before they notice bc we’re taking a trip too hawaii and i have no retiner for it lol…. wish me look!!!! <3

Breaking the Rules

By aKeke from Texas.

So , I’m 17 years old and i have been wanting a belly button pierced since i was about 15. I knew my mom would say no if i asked for one. So on my 17th birthday i just decided ima get my belly pieced on my own, i just had to get the money.

So i find out that my uncle that does tattoos tought his oldest daughter, who is my age and also my cousin, to do piercings. About a month ago i talk to my aunt who was going to my uncle house and i knew it was my opportunity to get my belly pierced. So, i went to my uncle house and seen my cousin, we talk and caught up, then i told her that i wanted my belly pierced.

Now she knows my mom and how she can get so she was scared just thinking about doing without my mom knowing. So after debating about it for 10 mintues she agreed to do it but right before i was leaving to go home. The time went by and it was 15 mintues before 9 and she went inside to set up the stuff to do my piercing.

She bought out the sissor looking thing that pinches the skin and tried itout on me , it hurted a bit but i still wanted it done. So we went into the bathroom and she had everything ready and set up. My heart started beating fast and i got really nervous and was about to bag down but i looked and seen she had everything ready, so i took a deep breathe and was ready for the sissor thing again. She pinched my skin and got the needle(she had on gloves and use all clean materails and stuff), i told her not to tell me when she was about to do it but she said she had to so i could breathe in and out.

So she asked me was i ready and i told her yeah, she told me to breathe in…i looked up and breathe in and bam the needle was in my skin. I looked down and i seen her sliding out the needle and replacing it with my ring. “That it, it’s over?” i asked. “Yep thats it.”my cousin said. “That didnt really hurt that bad.” i thought to myself. Now a month later and my mom still doen’t know…lol i tell her one day. 🙂

RIP navel star :(

By Elanor, from Nottingham, U.K.

It may have only lasted 6 months, but it was well worth it all. But sadly I had to remove all 5 bars int he last week as they were rejecting.

I had the top one done at Blue Banana in Nottingham (a place I’ve been to many a time and love and is pretty cheap) back in January and it healed very well despite it being through scar tissue from the piercing I’d had there the year before which had rejected.

I did the other 4 myself using 1.6mm hollow needles and slotted pennigton clamps and lieing on my bed after marking up in a mirror. They weren’t perfect but they were good enough for me and I was proud to say I’d done them myself.

The only real issue i had was that I had hollow not canular needles so the jewelery was a bit fiddly to get in. I did the side 2 first, and the bottom 2 a few weeks later. Then last month the bottom 2, then side 2 rejected and finally this week the top one rejected too.

I’m left with a stickman shaped scar which is pale but very entertaining and I’m now considering wha to to with my belly button next 😀

at home belly piercing!(:

i’ve wanted my belly button pierced for as long as i can remember now.
i asked my mom if she would take me to get it done, but she instantly said no, i was too young! i’m fifteen, by the way.
i began to protest but it didn’t help at all:(
i got really upset but i wasn’t going to let her tell me what to do.
i decided to pierce it myself.
i went online to read how to do it the correct way, and even watched some professional videos on youtube.

the videos were so helpful, i strongly suggest watching them if you ear going to pierce your own belly button.
i also ordered a professional piercing needle from . it was only about about two dollars, and well worth it!
after i was throughly prepared, i gathered my tools.
-14g hollow piercing needle
-rubbing alcohol
-belly ring

1) i marked the spot where i wanted the piercing and put on gloves
2) i put alchohol all over the area to prevent infection
3) i started at the botton and worked my way upwards so that i could easil but the belly ring in.
4) at first i went slow but then i just pushed it through
5) after the needle was completly in, i put the belly button ring through the bottom of the needle and began to pull it all the way out of the top.
this was the most painful part for me.
6) i put the top ball on and cleaned it more with alcohol

it took about one month to heal, and it hurt really bad through the healing process.
i almost decided to take it out but i’m glad that i didn’t.
i used non iodine sea salt to clean it everyday.
my parents still don’t know about it, i’m trying to build up my courage to tell them:P
oh, and if you decide to pierce your own belly button, please make sure you use a clamp! that was a mistake that i made and mine is kind of crooked.
but other than that, it turned out great!

Piercing Promise

belly button piercing

By Cassondra from Cocoa Beach, USA.

My best friend and I have wanted to pierce our belly buttons since we were 12. So one day while watching 13 we made a pack that when we were both 16 we would get our piercings done together.

The next day we both went out to buy fake, spring loaded rings and wore them to school for years. Well soon after, i moved about an hour and a half away, but we kept in contact. We had made so many silly pacts that this one soon sliped my mind. I wasn’t reminded of it until I moved in with her at 15, and she had her nose pierced. I had asked her if she had anything else pierced, and she replied with, ” no I was waiting on you.”

So we started to look into piercing parlors, and they were far too expensive at the time. Then we began to consider self piercing. Bad idea. I tried it and couldn’t even manage to get the bell bar in. I was lucky not to have done some serious damage, or gotten it infected. So we gave up on the idea for a little while.

A few months went past and we saw a sign at a local tatoo shop that said two for one piercings!!! And that was it, I was sold. When I asked my mother, I was completly shocked when she said why not. Granted she had hers pierced but I never thought that she would give her consent. A week later we went up to the shop, and my friend wanted to go first.

Well we thought that this would be best because she was afraid or needles. Well we were wrong!! When she lied down on the table, and they put the clamp on her, she started to freek out. She actually managed to hit the laddie doing the piercing in the face as the needle was going though, and when it was done started to have a panic attack! Well this shook me up quite a bit, and I wanted to back out, but my friend guilt triped me to get on the table since she went through with it. Well the whole time I keep saying this is a bad idea over and over again. I even tried to get up when she was trying to put the clamp on.

And to my supprise I didn’t feel it go through. I had to see the piercing for my self to belive that it was really done! So i hoped off the table payed and went strait to myboyfriends house, to show it off.

I guess some times it pays to take a risk cause both me and my freind still love our piercings, and I belive that the whole act made our friendship stronger!

By Myself

By Shawna, Ohio

Last week, I decided that I really wanted to pierce something. I’m one of those Christian girls with the over protective parents that think getting your first holes in your ears makes you look like a slut. i asked to get my second holes done, and my parents said no, not until I’m 18.

I didn’t want to wait 3 years to have someone do it properly, so i decided to do it myself. well, i really wanted to do my second holes, but that wasn’t an option because I knew that they would see it. so i decided to pierce my belly button.

i did an inverted (on the bottom) the first time i did it, i got half way through and blacked out. the second time, i numbed it with ice and it worked! the next day at school, I realized the skin was to thin, and it looked like it was going to rip out. so I took it out and let it heal for a few days.

last night, I decided to redo it, and it turned out GREAT! 🙂 I have just a regular earring in right now, since I can’t really get an actual belly ring, but my birthday is coming up soon and my friend is going to get me one. but I really don’t recommend doing it yourself.

I only did it because I am EXTREMELY OCD and I knew that everything would be over-sterilized with a low risk of infections that I could get by doing this myself. I also did a lot of research to make sure I was doing it right, etc.

Anyway, i love my new piercing! 🙂
